Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba (HAFT), an NGO of the Wife to Governor Darius Ishaku today officially launched and donated an eLearning website to the Ministry of Education Taraba State against the backdrop of covid 19 pandemic.
In her address, CEO Hope Afresh Foundation Taraba, Barr. Mrs. Anna Ishaku underlined the importance and success of the educational sector of the state as good points as with the introduction of the eLearning website as it will give more credence to the milestones achieved educationally in the state. She explained that the website is an initiative of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) unit of her foundation designed as an eLearning management system and portals for students all over. Wife of the Governor said the donation of the website is a gift and as well a contribution towards a sustained learning process and improvement.
Also Commissioner of Education, Mr. Johannes Jigem in appreciation of the rescue phase two mission, expressed that as the gradual easing of the pandemic continues, the nine educational zones of the state will be highly involved with the website leading to the eventual introduction to schools. He lauded the efforts of the foundation’s ICT unit in training four staff of the Education Ministry.
Earlier, Mrs. Mercy Gbashi, Head of ICT unit (HAFT) said the eLearning.linkedvoices.com.ng website is easy to navigate as a result of the accessibility to learning tools for basic and secondary education in the state.
Present at the event was Commissioner of Women Affairs, Mrs. Hauwa Kwena, Commissioner of Social Development, Mrs. Bridget Twar together with staff of Education Ministry and Principals of various schools of the state.
