Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku today met with Traditional rulers in Taraba state and urged them to intensify fight against insecurity.
The Governor while speaking at the meeting said the primary purpose of their appointment is to serve as intermediaries between the people and the government especially on security matters. He said places where crimes such as kidnapping has not been heard in the past are beginning to come up and said it must be tackled before it gets out of hand
The Deputy Governor Engr Haruna while addressing the press said the state Government is working round the clock in addressing the security challenges in the state. He further said assistance of the Federal government is been seeked in other to tackle the influx of the Ambazonian into the state
While advising the citizens to strickly adhere to the precautionary measures giving by the NCDC in other to fight the covid-19 to a still, Manu said security is the responsibility of every citizen and ask Tarabans to please support the state government in other to put an end to the challenges.
He however warned that wrongful allocation of lands by traditional rulers must stop because it is one of the immediate causes of unrest amongst the people.
