Governor Darius Ishaku has applauded the Northeast Development Commission NEDC for complementing his developmental efforts on youth empowerment in the State.
The Governor was speaking when he inspected the modern ICT unit donated by the NEDC at the Taraba State University Jalingo.
He identified Unemployment as a problem to the Nation which is hinged on pausity of funds and pledged to do more for youths in the State
Governor Darius Ishaku attributed low End SARS peaceful protest in the State to good governance and high sense diplomacy he has been using to talk to youths.
The Governor advised youths to restrain from damaging property and called on the Security operatives not to shoot any citizen that is protesting peacefully.
Commenting,Vice Chancellor of the Taraba State University Ado Tenebe,assured the Governor that since school is resuming the training center would commence it’s activities to serve the purpose it was established for.
He thanked Governor Darius Ishaku for his effort and the North east Development Commission for including the State University as among first beneficiary in the intervention and pleaded with them to provide well equipped ICT lab of one thousand capacity to serve students of the school and the university community.
The newly completed Computer Software Center ready for Commissioning is aimed at training young Tarabans and graduates from the University on software development,computer graphics design and phone repairs.
It will also serve as center for CBT and other related computer test and examination.
Deputy Governor Haruna Manu, Chief of Staff Government House Administration Haruna Istifanus Gbana, Secretary to the State Government Anthony Jellason, Chairman Northeast Development Commission Mohammed Alkali, Deputy Vice Chancellor Adminstration of the TSU Nicholas Namesan Oliver and ICT Director of the TSU Kafau Audu Dodo were present during the inspection visit.
